Purpose -

The Licking County Chapter of the Ohio Horseman’s Council was formed to provide a place for local equine enthusiasts to come together and interact socially, to share ideas, to identify common objectives, and to work on common goals.  The chapter is a member of the Ohio Horseman's Council, Inc., the controlling body for all county chapters throughout the state of Ohio. (click here for State Map)

History -

The Licking County Chapter was established in 1974.  Since then the members have made many contributions to Licking County and the State of Ohio.  For example -

bullet6 miles of trails developed and maintained at Taft Reserve
bullet8 miles of trails developed and maintained at Lobdell Reserve
bullet220’x 110’ Horse Arena at Infirmary Mound Park
bullet110’ x 55’ Horse Arena at Everett Park
bulletInstallation of Tie Rails at AEP McConnellsville in Morgan County
bulletInstallation of Tie Rails at Taft Reserve & Infirmary Mound Park
bullet Cleared land for Picnic area at Taft Reserve
